1Choose the space.

Where are these cabinets?

Count the pieces we will paint. The same component pricing makes small vanities and larger kitchens easy to compare.

2Count each component.

Count a door once, a drawer front once, and each visible end panel once. Count cabinet box / face-frame sections separately.

Help me count correctly

A pair of doors counts as two doors. A drawer’s front panel counts as one drawer front. Count each cabinet box or exposed frame section once, even if it has two doors. Side panels are the visible finished ends. Inside shelves and box interiors are a separate scope.

3Make it your own.

Pick a color direction for your plan. Final colors, sheen, and coating system are confirmed with physical samples.

4Review paint materials.

Primer is $65 per gallon; cabinet finish coat is $125 per gallon. Materials are added once to this cabinet project.

Add components to calculate the material allowance.

The current starting allowance is 1 gallon of primer plus 1 gallon of finish for up to 17 doors, drawer fronts, and panels; larger sets start with 2 gallons of finish. Large projects, cabinet dimensions, frames, color changes, and additional coats may need more.
